Portanuova is a renowned district located in the center of Milan known for having contributed significantly to the transformation of the image of the city.

The district’s urban redevelopment project, co-developed and managed by Coima, has transformed a large area, previously occupied by industrial and railway buildings, into a modern residential, commercial and management district. It is the first district in the world to have obtained the LEED®and WELL® for Community sustainability certifications and, thanks to its architectural design and the activation of public spaces with initiatives and events, attracts thousands of visitors every day, recording annual passes of over 10 million people.

The green heart of the district is the park BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, fundamental piece of connection of the surrounding urban ground that, through the Riccardo Catella Foundation, produces a cultural program with over 250 events every year always open and free for citizens, with the aim of building and promoting the civic commitment of the community. The district is home to iconic skyscrapers such as the Bosco Verticale and the Unicredit tower and a wide range of shops, restaurants and cultural spaces selected and managed according to specific sustainability criteria, helping to create a dynamic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
